'TRY IT' TWO SESSION KOKEDAMA WORKSHOP: THROW & VINE - THURSDAY FEBRUARY 19TH & THURSDAY MARCH 5TH, 6-7PM

$80.00

Please join us for this beginner-friendly two part kokedama event. Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing plants in a moss-covered ball of soil, wrapped with string. Together, we will make a dish to hold your kokedama at Throw.

Two weeks later, we will meet at Vine Plant Shop to make the Kokedama! The first session will be hosted by Throw, where we will form the clay vessels for your Kokedama using pinch or coil methods, which can then be stamped or carved to complete the piece on the evening of Thursday, February 19th. All tools and clay will be provided, as well as light refreshments. Approximate finished size will 6” in diameter and 1-2” tall. You’ll choose your glaze/color, and then we’ll bisque fire, glaze, and glaze fire the work for you.

Next, we’ll meet at Vine on Thursday, March 5th with the finished pieces, to select a plant, wrap our kokedema and discuss care of and best location for the plants. Snacks & beverages will be provided at Vine as well.

Come make some new plant and human friends, and enjoy cozy indoor spaces as the days get longer, with friends and snacks!
