$365.00

In this 6-week class, you will learn the skills and techniques necessary to handbuild, including pinch, coil, slab, and bisque/plaster mold techniques. This introductory level class is limited to 5 students, so you will receive plenty of personalized instruction.

You will learn about the different stages that clay goes through on its way to becoming a final glazed piece, all about tools and techniques for building and shaping a piece, and how to decorate and glaze your final pieces.

At the end of the course, you will have learned the skills to make a piece from start to finish. We’ll meet consecutive Wednesday evenings for six weeks, starting September 9th and ending October 14th.

Class fee includes: instruction, one (25lb) bag of clay, open studio access for practice (7 days/week, 9am-9:30pm), and use of all tools, equipment, glaze, and firings. Anticipated projects include: cups, small dishes, butter keepers, bowls, and spoons.
