




















INTRODUCTION TO HAND BUILDING | WEDNESDAYS, 6-8:30PM, 9/3-10/8 | W/ COURTNEY MURPHY
In this 6-week class, you will learn the skills and techniques necessary to handbuild, including pinch, coil, slab, and bisque mold techniques. This introductory level class is limited to 5 students, so you will receive plenty of personalized instruction.
You will learn about the different stages that clay goes through on its way to becoming a final glazed piece, all about tools and techniques for building and shaping a piece, and how to decorate and glaze your final pieces.
At the end of the 6-week course, you will have learned the skills to make a piece from start to finish.
We’ll meet consecutive Wednesday evenings for six weeks, starting September 3rd and ending on October 8th.
Class fee includes: instruction, one (25lb) bag of clay, open studio access for practice (7 days/week, 9am-9:30pm), and use of all tools, equipment, glaze, and firings. Anticipated projects include: cups, planters, bowls, and spoons.
